• KASE Growth Programme is a diverse set of projects

Kaustinen sub-regional municipality implemented the KASE Growth Programme, which consisted of several development projects. The basic idea behind the Growth Programme was to support municipalities and businesses in our region in preparing for the future. The major projects planned for the region will be a major factor in the near future, with an investment value of up to €1.5 billion.

In addition, the Growth Programme as a whole opened up new business networks and helped our companies to develop together. The KASE Growth Programme also included developing our business services so that we can continue to be one of the most business-intensive regions in Finland.

    What are major projects?

By major projects, we mean projects worth tens or even hundreds of millions of euros, of which several are in the pipeline in the Kaustinen and Sydänsuomessa regions. Currently, the most important and advanced major projects are the Lestijärvi wind power project, the Toholamm and Halsua wind power projects and the Kaustinen lithium mine project. In addition, other projects are under preparation in the telecommunications and energy sectors. These are all collectively referred to as major projects.
