Vapo Terra Oy is planning a wind and solar power project in the areas of Halsua municipality and Kokkola city, northwest of the Venetjoki reservoir. The project consists of up to 22 wind turbines, a solar power area of up to 324 ha and electricity transmission either by overhead cable or 400 kV transmission line.

The project will be the subject of public meetings in Halsua and Ullava:
- Wednesday 15.5.2024, 18-20 at the Halsua Unified School, Perhontie 29, 69510 Halsua.
- Thursday 16.5.2024 from 18:00 to 20:00 at Rahkonen School in Ullava, Rahkosentie 246, 68390 Rahkonen

Materials available

- The EIA report for the project will be available from 18 April to 14 June 2024.
- The draft sub-zoning plan is available for consultation from 2 May to 14 June 2024
