The KASE Tuulikelle project will launch a new procurement of expert services to investigate the feasibility and business potential of bio-terminals in the Kaustinen sub-region.

The study will result in a report on the preliminary most optimal location options for bio-terminals in the Kaustinen sub-region: 1-3 sites (no absolute fixed number of units required).

The study will assess and take a position on different bioterminal implementation solutions: 

-foundational business models

-foundational investment costs

-foundational profitability

-potential sources of financing (in particular public sources)

-potential investors and opportunities for regional cooperation and benefits of cooperation (municipalities, municipal group companies, private operators)

-modularity and/or phasing of implementation

-risk assessment (technical-economic, environmental)
